We are trying to get a new boiler and we've been offered an Ariston or a Worcester & Bosch one. The Ariston one is cheaper but reviews I can find online seem to be mixed. The name got a bad reputation some years ago, deservedly but they have come on leaps and bounds as I have written many times on these forums and there units are reliable for the money and some of the models like the 38, depending on who/where you buy come with a five year parts and labour, ( but read the small print ). Ariston parts are no harder to get hold of then any other make /parts and there are so many other factors to consider apart from the price of a particular part. All boilers/combies don't like dirty systems, some are more tolerant, the Clas isn't one of them but a clean system to start off with, the Arriston shouldn't give you much problems and they are good value for money,---but a 38, that's going to kick out a lot. And why did your installer choose the Clas over the Genus or the E-models? Worth a mention are the Glow-Worm range, Ultracom CXI and Flexicom.
